XRT Big Xmas Show Elvis
I bought my husband these early Christmas tickets as a surprise. We had seen School Of Rock Allstars before at The Chicago Theatre. The parking garage a block away had a reasonable fee. Despite the terrible weather, the snow was very pretty. The roads were much better than in Indiana. We each got a drink on the lower level. Pop was reasonably priced, but water was not - $4.00 for an 8oz bottle is crazy! The staff was very helpful in finding our balcony seats. The gentleman playing Spanish music when we sat down was very nice. After a small intermission, the XRT disc jockey introduced School Of Rock Allstars. It was a very personal and intimate performance. He started playing and it was very good. Some songs were new to me but familiar to my husband. He had moments of singing acapella where you could hear a pin drop. He combined some songs with The Beatles and engaged the audience. He took his time with 3 encores, giving us 2 1/2 hours of acoustic School Of Rock Allstars. He joked around, talked about his songs, family, and even did a Christmas-themed performance that wasn't really a Christmas song. The crowd enjoyed the show, especially waiting for the song "Allison." Despite not being a big fan of School Of Rock Allstars, I found the show enjoyable. The guy sitting near us kept praising the performance after each song. Some people were constantly walking back and forth for drinks, which was a bit distracting. Overall, highly recommended show, and I would definitely attend another in the future!
